Holidaying in Singapore.. Malaysia.. Thailand soon

Hi everyone who's bored enough to be reading this.. or my loyal friends =p

So.. 2 so weeks ago I packed my bags and left for singapore. Shopping galore.. so its kinda a crappy place to be if you're broke (spent nearly all my money on the first few days u_u). Malaysia is nearly the same.. but everything is cheaper.. and less hygenic. Oh~ Got to catch up with my friend again.. which was awesome.. I'm suprised he's not scared of me, considering how we met.

Which is strange.. coz this time round, someone approached me in the same way. What goes around comes around I guess.

Okay.. So for those who didnt know.. The main reason of my holiday was to attend my cousins wedding. Got to be the maiden of honor this time.. But the crappy thing is that in Asian weddings.. the role of the bride's maid is different.. We'e sorta like.. mini slaves.. fan girls.. you know. I guess I dont mind too much.. coz it is her special day.. and now I can say I've been a bride's maid.

The crappest thing about the wedding was the guys.. All of them so.. icky and sleazy.. (well not all.. but nearly most). The ones that managed to stay sober were alright.

Anyways.. I dont really have much to say.. But I wish you were here (you = you, the one reading = friend.. you msut be a friend if you've managed to read this far.. right? =p).

Okay.. quick summary (coz girls grammar has taught to always conclude with a summery) : Shopping, meet old friends, make new friends, fanner girl, human coat rack, dress holder.. but most importantly.. cheap food! and being fatter =p

Valene's Day.

Valene's Day

Aim: To write Valene's blog for the day.

Theory: Tomato can be debated to be either a vegetable, or a fruit.

Hypothesis: Valene had a happy day.

Procedure:

1. Today, Valene woke up at 10am'ish.

2. Valene got up from bed and found that she had lost her phone. =<

3. So Valene decided to go stand outside her door... because that sounded like fun...

4. She stood by the gate... waiting.... waiting........

...

5. And then her friend-people arrive at her gate, and she lets them in. So they go and sit in the study... and talk...

6. Then Valene and her friend-people enter the lift and go upstairs to the kitchen..

7. They go for an adventure in the pantry... and recorded a list of observations...

8. They saw....

Tomato, a red, smooth, round, solid...

Cheese, a yellow, hard, square, solid.....

Pizza Topping, a green, small, solid..

....

9. Valene and her friend-people then go for a drive to Brisbane Girls Grammar School... and pick up Valene's sister.... and the group set off to the Orthodontist at Aspley.... so that Valene and her sister can show Dr Yap their pretty teeth...

...........

10. Then the happy group go to the Hypermarket... and they buy materials for lunch..... They are going to make mini-pizzas...

Valene's pantry already had tomoato and cheese.... So they buy english muffins, chicken, pasta salad, and orange juice... Orange juice with pulp... because that is healthy....

..................

11. And then the group go back to Valene's home.... and they make lunch.... which consisted of.... mini pizzas, (which they made by cutting enlgish muffins in half... and placing shredded chicken, tomato, and cheese on top, and baking for 5-10minutes)....... pasta salad, and orange juice...

12. After lunch, Valene and her friend-people went downstairs to the study... and sat around... because that was fun..

13. Valene then went to pick up her little sisters and her brother...

Results:

1. Valene, and her friend-people made mini pizzas.

2. Valene, her sister, and her friend-people had mini pizzas, pasta salad, and orange juice for lunch...

Observations

1. The timer was broken when Valene and her friend-people were baking the mini pizzas.

Discussion:

Valene had a busy day with her friend-people in going to the Orthodontist, making lunch, and sitting around. Experimental errors may have occurred during the baking of the mini pizzas, as the timer was broken and the timing may not have been accurate.... Valene's Day could be improved if she had spent more time with her friend-people because they were feeling lonely when Valene went to pick up her little sisters and brother....

Conclusion:

The results support the hypothesis. Valene had a happy day.

More random blogging (god what a boring title)

Hey everyone.

Just had my last phrm1010 exam today!.. Well I hope it's the last.. just so long as I didnt fail the course =p. Anyways~~ Yea.. nothing interesting happens so .. why am I blogging? To keep all of you out there informed of valene's exciting life of course~ For any people out there who think "hmm.. what is valene getting up to.." (cept im pretty sure those people dont exist).

Anyways.. the msot interesting thing that happened today is I got to see one my primary school friends again (hi again Lisa.. if you're reading this.. told you i'd write about you =p).. we see each other like.. once every few months if we're lucky.. but the coolest thing is that its not akward or that when we talk.. we got flow~ (hahah.. i hope that makes sense). Yea.. thats the best thing about childhood friendship.. you dont have much of those akward silences.. you can always fill them up with reminicing of fun memories (though we didnt do that today).

Mm.. oaky.. I crapped on enough. Congrats for those who read this far =p.. You're SO BORED.

Next week's forcast:

Valene will be studying her ass off.. cramming in as much as she can for her next 4 exams

My Holiday

I know.. abit delayed =p.. This is for my mid semester 2 holidays haha.. But yea.. you know how lazy I am..

Was a pretty good holidays.. probably my most productive ever =p (though I did nothing)

Mmm.. the first day kinda sucked.. =p.. Had to watch all my friends go to Reiji while I stayed home to practice for my piano exam the next day.. But it's all worth it now.. Coz I passed =p.. Not necessarily with an A.. but who cares =p. I did many things for the first time too =p.. like... go to paddingtong.. eat eggs benedict .. mm.. get a fake id..and other stuff I can't remember right now =p

But guys, take careful note to this: This is how you should treat a girl if you wanna really make her feel special =p... Live music, Flowers, Present and a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge meal all in one date.. hahah. Yea.. That's what I got from my awesome cousin, claud.. It was undoublty the best date ever.. and it wasnt even from a guy ^^;.

Ahh.. besides that.. I got employed.. mmm.. andddd.. I dunno.. went shopping to celebrate =p.. So not really that much happend this holiday (which gives you and idea how unproductive every other holiday is).

Anyways.. that's the rest of this episode to "Valene's Story" (for those who wonder what I get up to.. which is not very many). Now I'm back to boring uni life~

Camping at Girraween

5 days ago (on monday, 3rd July), I was woken up by an early wake up call at 5am. By 5:30 am, my bags were packed and ready to go camping at girraween! Claud and Bev arrived at 7:45am to take me down to where we were all meeting.. Though we planned for the group to leave at 8:30am, we ended up leaving at 9:30 ^^;.. we were busy repacking the trailer because we ended up bringing too much =p..

So anyway, we ended up leaving brisbane at 10:30, after doing odd things like buying some food for the trip and picking up people.. and thats when the real journey begun =D.

We stopped by Stanthorpe for lunch and to repair a tyre, and thats when I realised how nice country people are. I was suprised, because I thought they'd be abit ignorant (as you see in the movies).. and somewhat racist.. but I was sooo wrong.. even the police were nice! The man repairing our tyre told us we were crazy to be camping at this time of the year.. its a big put off when you're told by a local how crazy you are =p.. he ended up giving us his address just incase we piked out from the cold half way through the night, and needed a place to stay.

That man was soooo right.. it we ended up sleeping in minus 5 degrees.. it got to the point where frost formed everywhere.. even in my hair o_o.. to make things worse.. it rained as soon as we got there ^^;.. but as Murphy's law has it.. it stopped raining as soon as we built the tent and transported everything into the tent.. *falls over.. All was good after that though.. made a nice fire to keep us warm and had a huuuuuge feast =D

The next day we went hiking.. we climbed two trails: The Pyramid and Castle Rock.. they were really strenuous but when you get to the top you feel like the king (or queen) of the world.. and reason you hiked up becomes so apparent and you just sit there appreciating the scenary and feeling very accomplished =D.. I only got to the top of Castle rock, coz I kept sliding down pyramid.. it was a shame u_u.. next time i'll go back with better shoes and conquer it =D.

Holidays but not really? o_O

I'm going through a stage where home is just not where I wanna be *falls over.. so unfriendly atm~ But I'm not allowed out too much anyways so I'm stuck here *nods

Since I have been stuck home abit.. I've done alot of thinking and I think I might have been living in the past for ages o_O.. I don't really know.. it just seems im reminicising back heaps.. but somewhat regretfully..

anyways.. coz ive realised it.. i'm gonna change that o_o.. another goal for the holidays =p

oh.. and on the plus side of staying home.. ive become very domestic.. I baked a really nice cheesecake today! Woop! I'm such a housewife =p.. and and.. just the other day i made some chocolate cookies... there wont be photos of them though.. ate them up too quickly D=

Yatta!

I had my last exam tonight.. So I'm mainly happy =p.. But thats all till I get my results back.

It's been so tedious studying for the last 2 weeks.. but we finally made it! (well.. I did anyways.. everyone else either already has.. or will very soon..)

Anyways~ my holiday plans are:
-get a job.. hopefully.

-movie day =D

-look around for birthday party venues

-camping

-lots of cookie baking =D

-shopping ^^! End of financial year sale! Woop!

-and then just hanging.. or chilling.. whichever =p

err.. i actually have nothign to say actually.. I just wanted to post coz im so happy i finished exams ^^a.. For those who've read this far: congratulations.. you're really bored =p

Finally Here

So we've all finally reached to this week.. The week everyone's been dreading - Exam week *don don don*

I hope you're no one else is as unorganised as me.. and leaving all this cramming to last minute.. (i guess if it wasnt last minute it wouldnt be considered cramming anyways). I'm just so looking forward to holidays.. but its really bad that im slacking off and thinking bout what i wanna do before Ive even gotten over the hard bit.

Tonight I'm really happy =D. Alot of good things happened to me. Anyways.. I'm going to write something I realised today.. Just so I can read on it later if I forget. It's going to be lame.. so extremely lame coz im feeling all warm fuzzies atm =p.. so stop reading if you dont like that stuff

Anyways.. to what I learnt~ Just how very lucky I am to have the people I do in my life. Friends I can always go to for salvation.. There's so much love around.. Like.. not love you feel for a lover.. but the different kind. Someone was able to forgive me after I've wronged them so bad. Like, after I've transpassed on their feelings, that person was still able to forgive and forget. Forgiving can be the hardest thing sometimes.. but forgetting is even harder than that. I think a person who is able to have the kind of heart to forgive like that, really expresses an 'unconditional love' of some sort.. and whoever is exposed to that kind of love is very lucky indeed.

Alright. End mushy stuff here. This is Valene on a Friday night in.

Its one of those days .. where nothing seems to like you o_o..

It's nothing I cant get over.. but it just gives its enough to complain anyways.

Anyways.. read one my friend's blogs today.. It amazed me coz i didnt know she wrote all her entries in poetic form.. and it had all her hidden feelings and that.. kinda made me feel bad to how blind i was to her sadness.. so yea.. im trying to be more conscious of other peoples feelings .. be less self-absorbed and all that.. lol, which is kinda contradicting to how i began this post complaining about my day =p

Have'nt been online lately..

Some peoples may have been wondering where I've been (but I doubt it really =p)

So what have I been doing?

Assignments and more assignments *cries.. Getting dizzy from all the stress =p..

But yesterday I did some destressing... *nods

Went to Movie world~ I was really dissapointed at first because the superman ride was down for maintainence.. but it opened up again in the afternoon =D. It's so awesome! Better than the lethal weapon in my opinion ^^;.. Yea.. so i went on rides until I was ready to spew.. was awesome~

So Screwed!

You spend all term anticipating your holiday..

and when it comes.. you realise its only for 1 week.. and that theres alot of work you need to do in that one week *falls over..

.. so you feel screwed and you keep yourself at home to try to force yourself to do work.. but you can't bring yourself to do it anyways ^^;.. so you complain about being cooped up at home and bored.

ZOMG! lose lose hey? That pretty much sums up my holiday =p.. So.. now i'm going to TRY to use the few hours left of this last day to do abit of work ^^;;... saaa.... . . . can't wait till next holidays =p

Back again

Just got back from a holiday.. should have updated this blog during throughout the trip.. but yea.. you know me *nods..

it was a pretty good trip.. even the bad parts, so.. let me try to sum it up in as little words as I can..

hmm o_o:

arguments; realising things i've never been able to see before; too much shopping; many first experiences; running from cops; meeting new people and getting a job offer..

maybe i'll elaborate on it all later o_o.. but i really need to shower now coz i smell like aeroplane..

Yea.. I've been lazy with updating.. If I were to update.. I have many photos.. formal, valedictory, break up party excursion thing, muck up day.. speech day.. yea.. but..been lazy ^^;..

It's been a very busy week suprisingly.. more so than during assesment time.. so, ive been kinda blocking out some thoughts..

Well.. lets just say.. I need to prioritise what's important to me.. what im willing to risk.. and learn to give some things up.. even if they're really desirable..

I'm starting to sound too emo now.. o_o.. so im ending this post *nods. I would like to say there will be photos the next time I update.. but chances are, i wont be bothered till alot later.

Tanuki Ponponko

I was talking to Tom today (when I should be studying for physics)..

His blog is interesting.. you should check it out sometime..

Anyways.. he gave me this site of ad for 'Anabu' .. " It's an ad for a construction company that builds 'mansions', or large concrete-block style apartment buildings".. Watch it if you wanna see something wacked up :

Ahh well.. it made me laugh anyway.. The Racoon thing in it is meant to be a japanese mythical creature named Ponponko..

In Japan.. There was a guy who showed me a figurine of ponponko..It just looked like a fatass racoon to me, holding drums at his lower half.. and the jap guy kept trying to make me say its name.. "Ponponko.. Repeat after me.. Pon-pon-ko" .. and i was like.. wth... and he said i have to hit my tummy while saying it.. The jap guy even offered to give me the racoon figurine.. but i didnt know what the hell it was meant to be.. so i just said no thanks

But yea.. Tom just told me something and it made it all clear to me what ponponko is and why the jap guy was drumming his belly while saying his name.. >_>

My haiku! With Sunny as my muse~ .. which is.. weird.. since I like Sunny o_O..
Anwyay.. there really isnt people I dont like.. just that I felt like writing a haiku too since Sunny wrote some =p

For those who dont know:

Haiku (俳句) is one of the most important modes of Japanese Poetry, a late 19th century revision by Masaoka Shiki of the old hokku, the opening verse of a linked verse form, haikai no renga. A traditional hokku consists of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, and 5 morae, phonetic units which only loosely correspond to the syllables of Western languages. (Wikipedia, 2005, online).

Anyway.. not much to write today.. But we had a sushi making double today. All our japanese exams have finished you see n_n. Was pretty fun.. with a few gate crashers.. Actually.. the number of gate crashers was probably more than the actual number of people in our class ^^a
